Milden Makes Art Work
The inaugural 2024 Fine Art exhibition in St Peter’s Church, featuring original works for sale by local professional and amateur artists, was a huge success. It not only raised very significant funds for the Church Fabric fund but was an important step in establishing the Church as an ideal venue for Arts events in the Community.
Over 60 works were on display when the Church was bathed in mid summer light.
2025 saw the production of a 2026 Art Calendar, featuring the works of local Artists, sold to help the restoration and preservation of the church. First made available for sale at a small Art Exhibition at the Village Fete, it is to be repeated in 2026.
Plans are also in hand to repeat the Fine Art Exhibition in St Peter’s in Summer 2026 featuring works by even more local artists. There will be no charge for admission and no obligation to purchase. All are welcome to visit and simply enjoy the exhibition of visual arts.
The church also boasts some of the finest acoustics in Suffolk Churches and will host live performing arts events in the near future.
